Farewell to Spring is dedicated to my dear friend, Marnie, and created so she would always be remembered. Her favorite flower color was purple. When I took her for a walk, via my phone, we came upon these CA natives: clarkia (common name farewell to spring), a spray of lupines and violets. In this piece all are seven times normal size, and the clarkia pistil twists into a DNA helix.
